Dry weather

CHENNAI: Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over interior Karnataka, rose at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell markedly to appreciably at one or two places over rest interior Karnataka, coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Telangana, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at one or two places over rest coastal Karnataka, markedly to appreciably below normal at one or two places over interior Karnataka, north interior Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over rest interior Karnataka, south Kerala, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

FROST WARNING: Ground frost is likely to occur at a few places over hill ranges of Nilgiris district during the next two nights.
