ANANTAPUR: A middle-aged woman of Penukonda lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday alleging that three persons had gang raped her when she was returning to Penukonda from Eedulaballapuram village on Saturday night. In her complaint, the woman, a widow, said that she had been to Eedulaballapuram village on Saturday. As she missed the bus for the return journey, she preferred to walk to Eedulaballapuram. Three persons followed her and forcibly took her into the bushes and committed the crime. The police registered a case and sent the 36-year-old woman for medical examination.
