Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government on Sunday revoked the suspension of former District Magistrate and SSP of Gorakhpur. District Magistrate Hariom and SSP Raja Srivastava were suspended for their alleged failure in controlling widespread violence and rioting in Gorakhpur following arrest of National President of Hindu Mahasabha and BJP MP Yogi Adityanath on January 29. Both have been kept on the waiting list, they said. Meanwhile, Special Secretary Housing and Urban Planning Uday Pratap Singh has been made new District Magistrate of Gonda, the sources said.
