K. Chandrashekhar Rao
KARIMNAGAR: Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Karimnagar Member of Parliament K. Chandrashekhar Rao has flayed the State Government for not implementing G.O. 610 in spite of passing six resolutions in the Cabinet meetings for its immediate implementation. Addressing the party workers after admitting some Congress and TDP leaders into the party here on Sunday, Mr. Rao charged that both the parties were misleading people of Telangana region on the implementation of the G.O. Ridiculing the claims of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy that their Government had taken up `jalayagnam' to provide irrigation facilities to 70 lakh acres in Telangana region, he said that the irrigation potential had decreased from 20 lakh acres to 11 lakh acres in the region.
He found fault with the State Government for encouraging drip and sprinkler irrigation system in Telangana.
Earlier, Mr. Rao performed `bhumi puja' for the construction of North Telangana Bhavan-cum-residence in Teegalaguttapalli village on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.
