Quizzing their way to glory

Staff Reporter

CLOSE CONTEST: Quiz master Anand Sharma at the IMS Quotient at Bharat Hotel in Kochi on Sunday.

KOCHI: The city finals of the IMS Quotient, the inter-collegiate quiz contest conducted by IMS Learning Resources Private Limited, had all the ingredients of a thriller and it had an anticlimax too. The closely contested quiz was won by the team from the Rajagiri School of Engineering here, but unfortunately the team will not represent the zone in the semi-finals because of examinations.

The quiz was co-sponsored by The Hindu and Microsoft. The media partner is CNBC and online partner is Scootygals.

Ranjana Mary Ninan, Vishnu Arvind and Pravin Kuriakose were the winners who will not go for the semi-finals. Arun Warrier, Sreyas Joshi and Abid E.H representing the NIT-Kozhikode, the runners up, will represent the region in the semi-finals. The team from Kozhikode Medical College came third.
