Sri Lanka's Independence anniversary observed

CHENNAI: The 59th anniversary of Sri Lanka's independence was celebrated at the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission here on Sunday.

P.M. Amza, Deputy High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Southern India, hoisted the flag. Arumugam Thondaman, Minister of Youth Empowerment and Socio-economic Development, was present.
