CHENNAI : TI Cycles of India, a unit of the Murugappa Group, has launched an exclusive bicycle and fitness equipment store, `BSA GO,' in T. Nagar. The 1400 sq. ft., two-level store is located on 14/31, North Boag Road. Designed as a one-stop premium store for all bicycling and fitness equipment requirements, `BSA GO' promotes cycling as a health and lifestyle option to discerning consumers. At the inauguration, A. Vellayan, vice-chairman and director (Strategy), Murugappa Group, said the outlet aimed to redefine the bicycle shopping experience in tune with the changing retail landscape and consumer shopping habits. The store has on display a wide range of BSA and Hercules brands of bicycles. Another interesting feature of the stores is that consumer can not only `touch and feel', but also test ride the bikes on an in-built test track. In addition to bicycles, the store will soon be offering a wide range of high-end fitness equipment and accessories. G. Ramprasad, president, TI Cycles, said such premium retail stores form a key part of the company's growth strategy.
