Teachers' union plea

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Progressive Recognised Teachers' Union had objected to the School Education Department's decision not to deploy secondary grade teachers and grade Il pandits for SSC valuation work.

The union stated that P. Venkat Reddy, president, and B. Mohan Reddy, vice-president, in a statement on Sunday said teachers and pandits, depending on their seniority, should be entrusted with the work, as they have been teaching for years in schools lacking subject teachers.
