SKS provides financial help to 5 lakh members

HYDERABAD: SKS Microfinance Private Limited has announced that it has provided financial services to 5-lakh poor members in 11 States.

This announcement was made by Vinod Khosla, founding CEO of Sun Microsystems and an investor in SKS and Vikram Akula, founder and CEO of SKS. In a press note issued here on Sunday Mr. Khosla hailed the milestone achieved by SKS.

Founded in 1998 to empower the poor to become economically reliant by providing financial services in a sustainable manner, SKS has 250 branches in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Biharand Chhattisgarh.
