GCDA warning against misinformation

KOCHI: The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) has termed as inaccurate, the advertisement in a regional daily about the role of Bluedot Constructions in the construction of Akash apartments. The Authority has clarified that Bluedot does not have any role in the apartment being constructed on GCDA land. People have been cautioned against falling prey to false information.

BJYM signature collection drive

KOCHI: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will launch a signature collection drive against the move to bifurcate Palakkad Railway Division. BJP leader and former Minister of State for Railways O. Rajagopal will inaugurate the drive near the Ernakulam North railway station on Tuesday. Yuva Morcha district president M. Ashish will preside over the function, according to a press release.

Consumer guidance cell opened

KOCHI: A consumer guidance cell has started functioning at the Gandhi Bhavan, Kacherippady. The cell is operating under the Federation of Consumer Organisations Kerala. Complaints from consumers would be received every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., according to the organisation.

Killed in accident

KOCHI: A 75-year-old woman, Mary, died in an accident on Kathrikkadavu road on Sunday evening. The woman, a resident of Palarivattom, was pillion riding on her son's bike. The bike slipped on the road resulting in the accident, according to the police. - Staff Reporter
