Thiruvananthapuram: Two men were killed when the motorbike on which they were travelling collided with a private bus near the railway over bridge at Varakala on Sunday night. The deceased were identified as Prasad, 30, of Parakonam and Aji, 30, of Aji Nivas near Akathumuri. The accident reportedly occurred when the men tried to evade a group of policemen checking vehicles. People stagedademonstrated in front of the Varkala police station in protest.
