RTC buses crush two youths

Techie from IBM, computer student among those killed Singh was to receive his father at railway station
HYDERABAD:
A software engineer and a student pursuing computer course were killed after being run over by APSRTC buses in separate road accidents in the city and its suburbs on Sunday.
M. Kranthi Kumar (24), techie from IBM in Madhapur, was killed after an RTC bus hit the motorcycle he was riding at Anjaiahnagar in Raidurgam on the city outskirts, the police said.
The techie was going towards Mehdipatnam when Hyderabad Central University depot bus plying between ECIL crossroads and ISB came in a negligent manner from behind and rammed into the motorcyclist.
Kumar, who hails from Narayanapuram in Machilipatnam, died on the spot.
In another accident, computer student Raghuvinder Singh (24) was crushed under the wheels of another RTC bus near Sangeet junction in Secunderabad.
Fatal slip
The police said Raghuvinder Singh (24), a resident of Sitaramnagar in R.K. Puram, was going to Secunderabad railway station on his scooter to receive his father.
As soon as he reached the Sangeet junction, he slipped from the scooter. A Cantonment depot bus that was going towards Uppal knocked him down, resulting in severe injuries to his head and ribs.
Singh died while being shifted to Gandhi Hospital, the Gopalpuram police said.
