Warrants against eight Delhi cops

NEW DELHI: Turning on the heat against erring police officers, a city court has issued bailable warrants against eight Delhi Police cops, including an Assistant Commissioner of Police, for allegedly implicating a man in a murder case by forging records.

``After considering the entire evidence available on the record, I find sufficient grounds to proceed against the eight accused under various provisions pertaining to giving false evidence and fabricating police records,'' said Metropolitan Magistrate Sandeep Yadav at Tis Hazari courts here.

Anil Kumar Gupta, the complainant, had challenged registration of an FIR against him. - PTI
