Four TASMAC employees arrested in Chennai

CHENNAI : The police arrested four employees of a Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation's retail outlet on charges of adulteration of Indian Made Foreign Liquor here on Sunday.

Saravanan (25), Gangamuthu (30), Balakrishnan (31) and Muthiah were remanded to judicial custody.

Based on some complaints about adulteration, the police constituted a team.

Investigation revealed that the adulteration took place after the IMFL outlets were closed at night.

Following a tip-off, a special party raided an outlet on Singanna Chetty Street in Triplicane police district at 3 a.m. on Sunday. The police seized 38 adulterated liquor bottles and other materials from the spot.
