Tax collection drive in panchayats

Coimbatore: The Collector, Neeraj Mittal, has announced that a tax collection drive would be conducted in all the village panchayats across the district till February 28.

The focus would be to realise property tax, professional tax, advertisement tax, water charges and other taxes. Only through effective tax collection, the local bodies would be in a position to execute the development works, he added.
