Later the college shifted to its own buildings on the sprawling 18-acre land at Muchukunnu in 1985. Now the college has a three-storeyed main building, an exclusive library and an open-air auditorium. The college offered courses in B.A. (History), B.Com., B.Sc. (Physics) with Computer Science and Mathematics as subsidiaries and M.Com., he said. He said the college had been able to carry out various programmes during the academic year. A national history seminar on the maritime importance of ancient Panthalayani, a career guidance seminar, an energy conservation seminar and English language media seminar were held. Apart from the active clubs such as Adventure Club, Swimming Club and Movie Club, the college has a career guidance and placement cell. It also has a Pain and Palliative Care unit, Prof. Hay said.
