CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said here on Monday that Congress president Sonia Gandhi would address the `Nav Yug Rally' at Sirsa on February 25 to mark the completion of two years of his rule. Mr. Hooda told media persons that major announcements would be made at the rally besides highlighting the significant achievements of last two years. He disclosed that the working president of the Haryana unit of the Congress, Ram Prakash, had been made in charge of the campaign to mobilise workers for the rally. Asked about the setting up of a nuclear power plant in the State, he said the Nuclear Power Corporation had inspected the site in Fatehabad district and the matter was being pursued with the Centre. On the Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal, he said the Supreme Court had decided the case in favour of Haryana as far as digging was concerned, and the President had made a reference to the Supreme Court about the Punjab Termination of Agreements Act, 2004. He asserted that the unilateral decision of the Punjab Government was not acceptable to the people of Haryana.
