KOTTAYAM: P.K. Narayana Panicker, general secretary, Nair Service Society (NSS), has said that the personal attack on him and the society by Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan was unwarranted. Neither he nor the society will budge under threats.
`No accusations'
Speaking to The Hindu on Monday on the criticism by Mr. Natesan on a complaint handed over by him to the Paripoornan Commission looking into alleged corruption in the Travancore Devaswom Board, Mr. Panicker said he had not deposed against anyone; nor had he accused anyone. Mr Panicker had received a letter from Sreedharan Potti, father of the Melsanthi at Malikappuram temple at Sannidhanam, from Kottarakkara. The letter contained complaints relating to the alleged corruption, and it raised personal accusations against Mr. Natesan and those close to him. "All I have done was that I submitted the letter before the Justice Paripoornan Commission, which is looking into the alleged corruption in the Travancore Devaswom Board." It was up to the commission to decide on the facts regarding the allegations raised in the letter. Mr. Panicker said he had not talked to the media on the issue, so far.
