Directive to former TDB chief

Kochi : The High Power Commission appointed by the High Court to inquire into the affairs of the Travacore Devaswom Board directed the former Travancore Devaswom Board president G. Raman Nair and other former members to file their list of witnesses and documentary evidence they proposed to give to explain their stand.

The commission headed by former Supreme Court judge K. S. Paripoornan directed them to produce the documents before February 24.

The petitioners, Radhakrishnan of Ambalapuzha and others, were directed to file their list of documents and witnesses before February 17.

The commission also sent a notice to the Travancore Devaswom Board secretary, the former administrative officer Govind Bhagat Singh and other petitioners to appear in person before the commission. The notice was sent, as they were not present on Monday. The commission also ordered publication of a public notice in newspapers about the constitution of the commission so that the public would be aware of the commission and they would be able to file petitions or evidence in the matter.
