Office shifted

CHENNAI: The office of depot 79, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board functioning inside Napier park Pumping Station has been shifted to no: 11, Ulagappa street, Chindatripet, Chennai- 2, according to a release issued on Monday.

Endowment lecture

Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen will deliver the 14th K.S.Sanjivi Endowment Lecture on `Health and the society' on February 10 at the K.S.Sanjivi Auditorium, VHS Campus, Adyar. Interested persons may collect invitations from the administrative office at the hospital on February 7 before 7 p.m.

Special prayer for students

A special prayer session for students appearing for the public examination this year was conducted at the Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, Chetpet, on Sunday. Paul Dinakaran conducted the prayer meeting. Students and principals from various city schools attended the meeting.

Lecture on `Higher Studies in U.S'

Members of the students services department of Rajalakshmi Engineering College recently organised a guest lecture on `Higher Studies in the U.S' on Friday, for pre-final and final year students of the college. Kate Van Til, David Feldmann and Peter Hancorn, Vice Consuls at the United States Consulate in Chennai made presentations on opportunities available in the US.

School alumni meet

Members of the Don Bosco Past Pupils Association (Egmore) will meet on February 11 at 6.30 p.m. The annual dinner will take place at hotel Ambassador Pallava, Egmore.
