HYDERABAD:
The heat is on. Though actual summer could well be at least a month away, temperatures in the city have shown a slight increase over the last few days. In fact, Monday had a maximum temperature of 32.6 degree Celsius, said to be three degrees above normal, and was obviously hotter than Sunday, when it was 31.7 degree Celsius. Weather department officials said this was mainly because there was no cloud cover and because of the change in wind directions. And yes, summer was on its way though it was not sure when it could actually set in.
The present situation was likely to continue for a few days. Again that was another they were not sure about it, though the department's website said Tuesday too would be another "bright and sunny day".
