Holiday for schools, colleges today

BANGALORE: Schools and colleges in Bangalore city and Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Chamarajanagar, Mysore and Mandya will remain closed on Tuesday. The holiday was declared as a precautionary measure as the law and order situation remained "fluid" in the wake of the announcement of the Cauvery tribunal verdict

Education Department officials said the situation would be reviewed again on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Governor T.N. Chaturvedi has appealed to people to maintain peace in the State.
