Assailants sever realtor's hand

HYDERABAD:
A group of men attacked a real estate businessman Abul Azeez and hacked off his left hand from the wrist at Rajendranagar on Monday night. The 40-year-old was attacked outside his house at Wade-e-Mohammed around 8.15 p.m. by a gang wielding swords and hockey sticks. Azeez also suffered bleeding injuries on his abdomen and head. He was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, where doctors operated on him. A surgery was on to attach the completely severed hand when reports last came in.
Rajendranagar ACP Mahipal Reddy said a land broker Sirajuddin of Sabjimandi, his five brothers and their associates had attacked the victimaccusing him of interfering in their deals. Sirajuddin had set up an office in Wade-e-Mohammed. Recently, he had sold off a plot to one Abid and was reportedly attempting to sell the same plot to Azeez's friend for Rs. 2 lakh. On learning about this, Azeez went to Sirajuddin's office and picked up an argument. Following this, Sirajuddin attacked Azeez with his brothers' help, the police said.
