Fatal fall for youth
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
An engineering graduate P. Venkatesham, 22, died after falling from the third floor of Vasavi Engineering College building at Ibrahimbagh on Monday, the Golconda police said.
The police said they were yet to ascertain if it was a suicide or death due to accidental fall. The victim's elder brother, Srishailam, in his complaint said Venkatesh was an epileptic and might have slipped from the building after developing sudden convulsions. No suicide note was found. A resident of MIG Quarters in BHEL, Venkatesham completed engineering course in IT last year. Since the result was not satisfactory, he wanted to write the exams again and score more marks. He came to the college around 1.30 p.m. to collect details of the exams.
Suspicious death
Around 2.15 p.m., he reportedly fell from the building. He was rushed to a private hospital in Langerhouz and from there to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. Venkatesham succumbed to injuries around 7 p.m.
A case of suspicious death was registered under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code, Golconda SI Srinivasa Rao said.
