Praise for Volvo bus service

BANGALORE: Mr. Cheluvaraya-swamy showered praises on Volvo buses at the seminar. He also surprised many when he suggested that people have not paid motor vehicle taxes for their vehicles. He said 50 per cent of the people travelling by Volvo buses had taken to them after shunning the use of their cars. "If I tell a fellow Bangalorean, `Listen, give up your two-wheeler or car (and) travel by a Volvo bus (and) you will reach (the destination) in 30 minutes earlier on priority (BRT) routes at no risk of an accident... ' I am sure no one will or can refuse," he said.

The seminar was organised by Volvo and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation.
