Mammoth Maharashtra order for BHEL

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals has bagged a Rs. 3,900-crore contract for the supply and installation of main plant equipment for three 500 MW units in Maharashtra. This takes the total power sector order book of the state-owned unit to over Rs. 20,000 crore in a single year. The contract, placed on BHEL by Maharashtra State Power Generation Company is for one 500 MW unit at Khaperkheda thermal power station expansion project and two 500 MW units at Bhusawal TPS expansion project.
