VISAKHAPATNAM: 10-year-old V. Varun of Hyderabad made IM R.R. Laxman (Tamil Nadu) struggle to score a win in a 75-move game in the second round of MYTAS all-India open FIDE rating chess tournament at Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. After two rounds, 24 players including Laxman, Vinoth Kumar, Ram S. Krishnan, Vikramjit Singh, Purushottam, M. Srinivasa Rao, G.V. Srinivas, D. Laxmana Rao, J. Malleswara Rao, Mehar Chinna Reddy, Vijaya Kanth, Deeraj Kumar, A.V.S. Vijay Kumar, Mahendra Venkat, L. Rangarajan, Abhilash Reddy, V.L. Sandeep Naidu, Sahajasri, K.V.K. Karthik, Vijaya Kumar Agarwal. V. Srikanth, Ch. Mohineesh, P.V.S.M. Pravin Kumar and Sk. Abdul Azeez scored two points each.
