KOLLAM: District panchayat president K. Devaki alleged that instead of bringing relief to the unemployment problem by filling up the thousands of vacancies in the banking sector, the managements of the public and private sector banks seem to be competing with each other in implementing anti-labour measures. She was inaugurating a dharna by the members of the State Bank of Travancore (SBT) Employees Union in front of the Head Post Office here on Tuesday. Ms. Devaki called upon the managements to fill up the vacancies.
