BELLARY: Activists of Bellary district unit of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike on Tuesday staged a demonstration to protest against the Cauvery Water Tribunal allocation. In a memorandum submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, the activists held that the award was against the interest of the State and urged the State Government to file a review petition in the Supreme Court to ensure justice and protect the interests of the farmers of Cauvery basin. The vedike has also appealed to leaders of all political parties to unitedly fight against the injustice.
