Get going on Fab City, YSR tells officials

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has asked officials of the Major Industries Department to speed up works on the Fab City project as the Centre is likely to announce the semiconductor policy any time now.

Reviewing the progress of work with officials here on Tuesday, Dr. Reddy expressed satisfaction over the receipt of clearances from the Pollution Control Board and other agencies. Work on the first phase of the project had almost been completed and the Fab project would become fully active once the Centre announced its semiconductor policy.
