H.L. Dattu for Chhattisgarh High Court

BANGALORE:
Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Cyriac Joseph on Tuesday announced that H.L. Dattu, one of the senior-most judges of the High Court, had been appointed Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
The Chief Justice was speaking at a programme on mediation organised by the Karnataka Judicial Academy (KJA) for serving and retired judges of the High Court on the High Court premises here.
He said the Presidential warrant on the appointment of Mr. Dattu as Chief Justice was expected anytime.
Mr. Dattu will succeed S.R. Nayak, who recently retired as Chief Justice of that High Court.
Mr. Nayak too was for several years a judge of the Karnataka High Court before his elevation.
Later, experts from the United States spoke on mediation.
