Kharge moves court

Staff Correspondent

BANGALORE: Mallikarjuna Kharge, former Home Minister and president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, on Tuesday moved the Karnataka High Court against the order of a Mysore court in taking cognisance of a complaint against him saying that he was found in Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency during the elections.

He said unfounded allegations were levelled against him. Former State Public Prosecutor H.S. Chandramouli, who appeared for Mr. Kharge, said the magistrate could not have taken cognisance as there was no case against this client. Justice K. Bhaktavatsala adjourned further hearing on the case.
