Scribe killed in mishap

NEW DELHI: A 40-year-old journalist working with a local evening newspaper was killed in a road mishap at Mehrauli here. According to the police, O. P. Shukla, senior correspondent with Sandhya Veer Arjun, was on his way to office on a motorcycle on Monday morning when a private crane hit him from behind. He was declared brought dead at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences. The driver has been arrested and a case of rash and negligent driving registered against him.

A native of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Shukla lived with his sister at Pandav Nagar in East Delhi.
