BHUBANESWAR: The city police on Tuesday rescued 10 young men and arrested two labour contractors who were allegedly hatched a plot to send them to Mumbai. The labour contractors, identified as Mathura Muduli and Santosh Behera, were forwarded to court. "The arrest was possible after three of the youths managed to slip from their clutches and inform police," Inspector-in-Charge of Laxmi Sagar Police Station Dillip Das said. He said all 10 youths, who hailed from Puruna Baripada village under Mayurbhanj district, were given an impression that they would be working in Cuttack. But the two accused were blackmailing them to board train to Mumbai. The main accused Mathura Muduli had impressed upon these young men to come with him.
