Water world

You cannot drive along Kochi these days without bumping into water tankers.

The discolouration of the Periyar and the caution taken by the residents of the city has helped water tankers rake in moolah.

Earlier, the clientele of tanker lorries used to be only those living in areas where the Kerala Water Authority could not reach out through pipelines. The demand for mineral water too has increased like never before.
