HYDERABAD: It was a drunken brawl that resulted in the murder of a Nepali Naresh Bahadur on Thursday night at Rajendranagar last week, it is learnt. The Rajendranagar police had reportedly arrested a labourer Rajender Singh who allegedly murdered Bahadur by bludgeoning his head with a boulder in an intoxicated condition. Both the accused and the victim were in an inebriated condition when they happened to meet at an isolated place in Sainagar colony late on the night of Thursday last. In a scuffle that ensued, the labourer caught hold of a couple of bricks lying in a corner and hurled them at the Nepali. "As Bahadur fell on the ground, Singh smashed his head with a boulder and ran away," an officer associated with the investigation of the case revealed. "The broken bricks and boulder reminded us the bricks and a rock found at the scene of offence. Then it struck if that was the killer's house," the police officer said. They learnt the house belonged to Rajender Singh who was not available at that time.
