Light rain lashes Delhi

NEW DELHI: After the sudden increase in temperature in the past few days, light rain lashed many parts of the Capital on Tuesday evening.

The Meteorological Department attributed the rain to an upper cyclonic circulation over Punjab, Haryana and neighbouring areas of the Capital.

"Rain is not unusual at this time of the year. The phenomenon is not likely to last long as the cyclonic circulation is mild," said a Meteorological Department official.
