NEW DELHI: The five-party alliance, Pragatisheel Jan Morcha, that had been floated as the Third Front for the forthcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections has decided to rope in more political parties to improve its prospects of winning the polls. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Morcha convener and Delhi Nationalist Congress Party president Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said the Front would give tickets to candidates after profiling them on their integrity and winning prospects. He said since the people were dissatisfied with both the Congress and the BJP, the Morcha would contest all 272 seats. Mr. Bidhuri said the national leaders of all the constituents -- namely Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI, Jan Morcha, NCP and Janata Dal (Secular) -- would address a rally at Ramlila Grounds here on February 11. CPI (M) Delhi State secretary P. M. S. Grewal said the alliance would raise issues pertaining to rehabilitation of slum dwellers, vendors and hawkers during the polls.
