NEW DELHI: A Mumbai TADA court on Wednesday stayed the transfer of underworld don Abu Salem to the custody of the Delhi police after his lawyers submitted that he was not physically fit to travel by train.
Back ailment
Although the Mumbai court had allowed the Delhi police the custody of Salem, his lawyers moved an application claiming that proper arrangements had not been made for his travel to Delhi and that he was suffering from back ailment.
Adverse impact
They said travelling by train could have adverse impact on Salem's health. The Delhi police now plan to move another production warrant on the next day of hearing in the court concerned.
