PW4000-100 engines for IA

Bangalore: Indian Airlines has chosen the engine manufacturer Pratt and Whitney to power its new Airbus 330-200 aircraft that are a part of its fleet expansion programme. The carrier said the first of the two aircraft with the PW4000-100 engines would be delivered by October. James Masotti, Pratt and Whitney's vice-president, Commercial Engines and Services, Asia Pacific, said India was an important market for the company.
