Kidney racket: CB CID raids on brokers

CHENNAI: The State Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department (CB CID) has conducted searches at the houses of three brokers at Tiruchi and Chennai in connection with the case relating to the kidney racket.

The searches were conducted on Tuesday on the premises at Thennur in Tiruchi where Seeni Mohammed and Khader Sharif were staying. Similarly, the house of Raju at Royapuram here was searched on Wednesday.

Some documents were seized during the searches. All the three had been remanded to police custody, a CB CID official said.
