English language teachers' conference

To be held in Vandalur on February 9 and 10

CHENNAI : The second international and the 38th annual English Language Teachers Association of India (ELTAI) conference will be held on February 9 and 10 at Crescent Engineering College in Vandalur. It will be inaugurated by Chris Gibson, Director, South India, British Council.

The conference is supported by British Council and The Regional English Language Office of the US Embassy. The focus is on `English for Today and Tomorrow' and is aimed at teachers and fulltime post-graduate/research scholars in English, Education and Linguistics.

The speakers include Graham S. Hall (University of Northumberland), Nasreen Hussai (Pakistan) and Orly Michael (Israel).

For teachers, the registration fee is Rs. 300 (ELTAI members) and Rs.400 for others.

It is Rs. 100 for students and research scholars.
