Gesture to emulate

G. Anand

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) seems to be an animal-friendly organisation. Recently, workers of the utility saved a wild monkey found trapped in a maze of live power lines at Kattakada junction.

KSEB workers used bamboo poles to extricate the monkey.

The simian was in an unconscious state.

It was later handed over to officials of the Neyyar Wildlife Reserve.

Forest officials said the animal was in a fine condition and would soon be released back into the wild.
