KADAPA: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy exhorted students on Thursday to attain computer and communication skills for a bright future. He was speaking after inaugurating 15-year celebrations of Aarthi Home, an orphanage and destitute home near municipal stadium being run by Vijay Foundation Trust since 1992. He also opened a photo exhibition highlighting the activities of the orphanage since the last 15 years. Trust president P.V. Sandhya and organising secretary A. Durga Kumari explained to Dr. Reddy about their activities. The Chief Minister inaugurated a centre for computer and communication skills. Complimenting Kausalya and Mahalakshmi, inmates of the home, who topped in seventh standard, he urged them to pursue higher education. Kadapa MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, Zilla Parishad chairperson D. Jyothi Reddy, Kadapa MLA Mohd. Ahmedullah, Mydukur MLA D.L. Ravindra Reddy, District Collector M.T. Krishna Babu and SP Y. Nagi Reddy, Trust member A. Pitchaiah Chowdary participated. Earlier, the Chief Minister came by helicopter to Government College for Men here and drove by car to Aarthi Home. Elaborate security arrangements were made for YSR's visit to Kadapa. The police put up barricades on the Collectorate road and old bus stand and diverted traffic, in view of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy's review meeting in Collectorate Sabha Bhavan.
