It is said about Sufi music that it connects with the heart. For those who are hooked to the mystic lure of music, here is a treasure. The music counter at the International Book Festival and Cultural Festival here has a great collection of Sufi music. This includes titles like Singing with Sufi featuring singers like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Abida Parveen, Wadali Brothers, Hans Raj Hans, Rekha Bhardwaj, Daler Mehndi and Zila Khan. There is also this eight-CD collection titled The Magic of Nusrat, featuring the best works by the maestro. There is the Aalapana series for Carnatic music lovers, which is a ten-volume collection of performances by masters based on 10 ragas. This justifies the counter being one of the most-crowded ones at the fair.
