Central Bank revises interest rates

CHENNAI : Central Bank of India has revised its interest rates on NRE and Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Banking) deposits across all maturities from February 1. The new interest rates on NRE Time deposit are: for one year to less than two years: 5.93 per cent (6.33 p.c.), for two years to less than three years: 5.85 p.c. (6.16 p.c.) and for three years: 5.80 p.c. (6.08 p.c.). The new rates on FCNR (B) deposits in dollars are: for one year to less than two years: 5.18 per cent (5.33 p.c.), for two years to less than three years: 5.10 p.c. (5.16 p.c.), for three years to less than four years: 5.05 p.c. (5.08 p.c.), for four years to less than five years: 5.05 p.c. (5.07 p.c.) and for five years: 5.06 p.c. (5.09 p.c.)
