A close and impartial examination of the Cauvery Tribunal's final award throws light on its fair nature (Cauvery Tribunal gives unanimous final award, Feb. 6). All political parties in Karnataka should accept the award and help create an amicable atmosphere for its effective implementation.

* * * The Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal's final verdict has set the stage for further protracted legal battles. The regional parties in power in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka cannot see beyond their own States. There is enough water available and what is required is proper management. Interlinking of rivers will boost agriculture and inland water transport.
