HASSAN: Following transfer of head of Fashion Technology Department Shanta Kumari to Gulbarga, students of Government Polytechnic for Women Hassan who were on indefinite agitation for the past four days withdrew their strike on Thursday. According to vice-president of the district unit of SFI B.S. Lingaraju, the HoD was harassing students by threatening them that they would be failed in examinations, besides collecting money from students. Following agitation by students, Director for Technical Education visited Hassan on February 6 and conducted enquiry with students and staff and submitted his report to Government.
