A very rare honour for them

Two NCC girl cadets got to be part of Prime Minister's Rally on January 27

GUNTUR : Two girl cadets of Andhra 10(A) Girls BN NCC battalion, got the honour of being part of contingent that provided Guard of Honour to the Vice-President, Prime Minister and other VVIPs and for marching on the Rajpath.

They were part of the Andhra Pradesh contingent that stood second amongst all State Directorates for the Prime Minister's Banner. Senior Under Officer T. Dhanya Rani and Junior Under Officer of the Girls Battalion here were selected from Guntur to represent the State at the R-Day Parade Camp from January 1 to 31 at New Delhi.

They also got a chance to be part of Prime Minister's Rally on January 27 and both of them had the privilege of meeting President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam over tea on the lawns of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Commanding Officer D.R. Lobo said in a release here.
