GUNTUR: Human resources development concerns, structural changes in Andhra Pradesh economy and capital formation in the State will be some of the topics to be discussed at the silver jubilee annual conference of Andhra Pradesh Economics' Association on Saturday and Sunday. The two-day conference of college and university economics lecturers, to be organised at Acharya Nagarjuna University, would have a theoretical lecture by an eminent professor. Of 600 lifetime members of the association, about 150 delegates are expected to attend the conference. In addition to research scholars from universities, fellows of some State and Central economic research organisation were also likely to be present, said organising secretary N. Sudhakar Rao at a press conference here on Thursday. While Gitam Institute of Foreign Trade Professor Bhanoji Rao, and Centre for Economics and Social Studies Professor Mahendra Dev, would be key speakers, Andhra Pradesh State Planning Board Vice-Chairman D. Swaminadhan would inaugurate the conference. Others to participate in the conference are A.P. State Council of Higher Education Chairman K.C. Reddy and ANU Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohanadas. The 10th and 17th conferences of the association were organised in Guntur and after eight years it would be held here mainly to create an overall perspective on the current economic trends and status of the State among academicians, he added.
